On the occasion of the “Rose Romance” floral display at Gardens by the Bay, where Italy is the country partner, this year the event will feature Apulian-inspired installations which have been exclusively brought into the country with the support of the Regione Puglia and Puglia Promozione, in partnership with the Embassy of Italy in Singapore and several Italian sponsors.
Regarding the cultural contents that public will experience, the Popular Orchestra La Notte della Taranta is the official ambassador of pizzica in the world (a traditional Italian folk dance originally from Salento, Apulia)
In the iconic gardens by the bay it will offer the ancestral songs and dances of Salento (part of the Apulia region) linked to the legendary Taranta. A show marked by the rhythm of the tambourine. Hypnotic sound that invites everyone to dance.
La Notte della Taranta, harmonic engine of coexistence between peoples, is narrated by musicians Consuelo Alfieri, Giuseppe Astore, Peppo Grassi, Carlo De Pascali, Gioele Nuzzo and dancers Mihaela Coluccia, Serena Pellegrino, Stefano Campagna and Mattia Politi.
The artists will perform on 2nd, 3rd and 4th of June
