Also this year Italy takes part to the XXII Edition of the European Film Festival, the most followed film exhibition in the City-State. Italy will present the dou film “Kordon” that tells the story of some Ukrainian volunteers who are fighting a non-violent war to help, shuttling between their country and Hungary, trying to do something to restore hope to a people under siege. A exciting portrait of resistance, courage and female solidarity. Kordon, directed by the young Italian director Alice Tomassini, is produced by Vatican Media (Vatican Television Center) and Tenderstories, an Italian audiovisual production company. The documentary appears to be one of the highest level Italian productions among those which in these months they faced the Russian-Ukrainian conflict: presented in world premiere during the “Rome Film Festival 2022”, where it won the award for “Best Film on foreign issues”, it was then screened on the occasion of the ” UK Film Festival” in London winning as “Best Documentary”, and in Berlin at the “Doc.Berlin Documentary Film Festival” obtaining considerable success with audiences and critics.
