Rose Romance Floral Display @ Gardens By The Bay

Roses not commonly seen in this part of the world showcased at Gardens by the Bay’s Rose Romance floral display

The Gardens collaborates with the Embassy of Italy in Singapore for the first time to bring a touch of Italy to Rose Romance, and present a line-up of Italian performances and workshops

More than 70 varieties of roses – some of which are uncommon in Singapore – are showcased in Gardens by the Bay’s Rose Romance (玫瑰之恋) floral display, which opens today. Some of the unique varieties brought in for first time include Rosa ‘Friedenslicht’, which translates into ‘Light of Peace’ – a rose named for 70 years of peace after World War II, and Rosa ‘Broceliande’, a two-tone rose with flowers that are cherry red and ivory or yellow, inspired by the Arthurian legend of how the wizard Merlin fell for the fairy Viviane.
